Honor is getting ready to launch a smartphone called the Honor X80 in China really soon. There is a leak, about it and this leak tells us how much the Honor X80 will cost and some of its main features. The thing that really stands out about the Honor X80 is that it has a battery. The Honor X80 battery is 10,000mAh which is really big.
1) The leak in one line: budget price + gigantic battery
The Honor X80 phone is going to be really cheap. It will cost around CNY 1,000 which’s about ₹13,000. The Honor X80 phone will have a battery that can last a long time it is 10,000mAh. The Honor X80 phone will also have a screen that is 6.81 inches and it will show really clear pictures because it has 1.5K resolution. The Honor X80 phone will have a Snapdragon 7 series chipset which’s good because it uses less power.
The X80 phone has some features, especially the battery that make it a good choice for people who want a phone that will last a long time. The X80 phone is really about having a battery so it is perfect for users who care more about the battery of the X80 phone than, about the X80 phone being super thin or having the best cameras.
2) Expected Honor X80 price: what “around CNY 1,000” implies
2.1 The raw number
The price of this thing is one thousand Chinese Yuan. This is pretty cheap. Is what most people, in China would pay for something basic.
2.2 Why this matters
If that pricing ends up being close, to what happens it is worth paying attention to because:
10,000mAh is closer to power-bank territory than typical smartphones.
A big battery is something that usually has some downsides. This means it can be really expensive. It can also affect how something looks and feels. For example a big battery can make something bigger and heavier. The people who make these things have to think about what kind of materials to use and how fast they want the battery to charge. A big battery, like this can be a problem because of its size and weight and the materials that are used to make it and how fast it can charge.
Honor wants to keep the price down. This means they have to make some choices, about what to spend money on. They might use a kind of screen like an LTPS LCD-type panel, instead of the more expensive OLED. Honor may also choose a midrange Snapdragon that uses power rather than a really powerful one that is usually used in the best phones. This way Honor can still make a phone but the price of the Honor phone will be lower.
2.3 India price expectations (important caveat)
The leak is about China pricing and an upcoming China launch.
This China launch is something to watch.
If the phone ever launches in India, the official pricing for the phone in India could be different from the China pricing because of things like taxes and distribution and how the phone is positioned in the market and the variants of the phone that are available.
For now this ₹13,000 figure for the phone is a rough idea and not something you can count on.
It is best to think of the ₹13,000 figure for the phone as a conversion, from the China pricing and not a promise of what the phone will cost in India.
3) Here are the main details that people are talking about far for the key specifications and what these details actually mean for the key specifications.
Here is everything that is actually true from the tip separated from things that people are just guessing about. The latest tip has some facts and the latest tip has some speculation. I will tell you what is real from the latest tip and what is not, from the latest tip.
3.1 Battery: 10,000mAh (the main headline)
The X80 is supposed to have a big battery the X80 will have a 10,000mAh battery.
This is really big when you think about it in the context of 2026. A lot of phones still have batteries that’re around 5,000mAh. The phones that people consider to have batteries usually have around 6,000 to 7,000mAh. The battery size of this phone is huge in the 2026 context, where many phones have 5,000mAh batteries and big battery phones have 6,000, to 7,000mAh batteries.
So you want to know what you can really get from a battery that’s 10,000mAh.
Here is some general guidance on what to expect from a 10,000mAh battery.
You can expect a 10,000mAh battery to last a long time.
What you get from a 10,000mAh battery depends on how you use it.
For example a 10,000mAh battery can charge your phone times.
You can charge your phone with a 10,000mAh battery when you’re not near a power outlet.
This is what you can expect from a 10,000mAh battery, in terms.
Potentially 2-day to multi-day endurance for moderate users.
Much better “battery anxiety” protection for heavy use like navigation, hotspot, long video playback, or continuous messaging.
Charging your battery often is good for it. This helps the battery longer because it does not go through as many full cycles. Battery longevity is important. Heat is also bad for the battery. Fast charging habits are not good, for the battery either. So if you want your battery to last you should charge it often and avoid heat and fast charging. This will help with battery longevity.
Trade-offs you should be ready for:
Likely heavier and possibly thicker than typical midrange phones.
People have opinions about ergonomics. Some users really like the fact that it feels like a brick in their hands. On the hand some people find that it gets tiring to hold and use with just one hand. Ergonomics can be a problem, for these people when they try to use it with one hand.
3.2 Display: 6.81-inch LTPS, 1.5K resolution
The leak says that this thing has a 6.81 inch screen. This screen is made with something called LTPS. It has really good 1.5K resolution. The leak is talking about the display of this device, which’s a 6.81 inch LTPS display.
So what does that mean to us:
6.81 inches is a large screen—good for video, reading, gaming, and split-screen multitasking.
When we see “1.5K” it usually means the resolution is better than Full HD+ but not as good as QHD. We do not know the number of pixels from this information. This can make the picture look really sharp without using much battery power, as full QHD would.
People often use LTPS panels for LCDs because they are a choice. LTPS panels can be cheap. They work well which is what people want when they are looking for something that fits their budget and also has a big battery that lasts a long time. The use of LTPS panels is an idea, for LCDs.
We do not know the refresh rate of this thing it could be 90Hz or 120Hz. The brightness is also unknown. What kind of panel it has and what the protection glass is, like that is all not confirmed yet. We are still waiting to find out about the refresh rate, the brightness, the panel type and the protection glass of this thing.
3.3 Chipset: Snapdragon 7-series “low-power” (model not named)
The tip says that the X80 may use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series low-power processor. It does not say which Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series low-power processor the X80 will use.
So what does this usually mean when it actually happens?
Expect midrange performance with an emphasis on efficiency.
Doing things we do every day like using apps browsing the internet checking media and watching videos should be easy and work well if the software is good and works properly.
The performance of the games will depend a lot on the type of chip that is used how well the device is cooled and whether or not Honor limits how long the device can keep running at its speed to keep the battery from dying and the temperature, from getting too high. The gaming performance will really depend on these things.
Why “low-power” is interesting with 10,000mAh:
A big battery and an efficient chipset can make a phone that’s really hard to kill. This is especially true if Honor also uses a method to save power when the phone is not being used. Honor can make the phone last a time by using this method and the big battery and efficient chipset.
We do not know what options will be available for the RAM and storage in this device. The version of the operating system is also not clear. Additionally we are not sure about the system and the different ways it can connect to other devices, beyond what we might see when it is officially announced or certified.
4) How the new phone compares to the Honor X70, which’s probably the old model that came before it the Honor X70.
Gadgets 360 says the X80 is, like a version of the Honor X70. The Honor X70 came out in China in July 2025.
The report also talks about the X70. The X70 has some features. These features of the X70 are:
6.79-inch 1.5K display with 120Hz refresh rate
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4
Up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage
8,300mAh battery with 80W fast charging
Single 50MP rear camera, 8MP front
4.1 The most obvious upgrade: battery jump
From 8,300mAh → 10,000mAh is a huge step up (on paper).
If Honor keeps the charging speed high like the X70s 80W that would be really great. It could make the X80 a compelling combination.. We do not know the charging specs, for the X80 yet so that is still a question mark.
4.2 Potential performance shift: Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 vs Snapdragon 7-series
The X80 will probably have a processor if it uses a Snapdragon 7 series chip. This means the X80 could be faster and use battery than the X70 which has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip. However we do not know which Snapdragon 7 series chip the X80 will use. So it is better to say that the X80 will likely be a phone and it might be better than the X70. We cannot be sure, about this. The X80 might have performance and efficiency than the X70 because of the new Snapdragon 7 series chip.
4. The size of the screen is a little bigger now. The screen size is getting larger.
The X70 has a screen size of 6.79 inches. The X70 screen is a little smaller than the X80 screen. The X80 is supposed to have a screen size of 6.81 inches. This is not a difference but it still says that the X70 and the X80 are phones, with big screens and big batteries. The X70 has a screen and a big battery and the X80 will have a big screen and a big battery too.
5) So you want to know why a phone with a 10,000mAh battery is a thing. Well it is because a 10,000mAh phone can do a lot. People, like a 10,000mAh phone because it can last for a time.
A 10,000mAh phone is a deal and that is why many brands are making 10,000mAh phones now.
The same person who told us about this also said that other companies are making phones, with batteries, 10,000mAh phones and we might see more 10,000mAh phones by the end of 2026.
This is what we see happening in the phone industry. Companies are looking at using batteries in their phones. This is because the parts that make phones work are not getting much better at saving power. At the time people want to use their phones more and more. They want to look at the screen for longer use the internet on the go with 5G and take pictures and videos with their phones camera.
There are a reasons why this trend is getting really popular:
User behavior is heavier than ever
People are using their devices a lot more these days. They stream a lot of stuff scroll, through their feeds shoot video and they use navigation and payments on their devices. One thing that still bothers people is battery anxiety. People get really worried when their battery is running out.
Bigger batteries are a straightforward marketing win
The “10,000mAh” battery is really easy to understand, which is not the case, with a lot of camera specifications that need to be explained.
Midrange is the battlefield
When it comes to budget or midrange things people usually care more about how something lasts and if it is a good value. They do not care much about having the best camera. The budget or midrange products need to be value and last a long time that is what people want from budget or midrange things.
Engineering and battery tech improvements
These new designs are getting better because the batteries are getting smaller and can hold power. The chips inside are also using power. This makes it possible to make these designs work. They are still usually a little heavier or thicker than we would like. The battery density is getting better. The packaging is getting smaller which is a big help. These efficiency-focused chips are also very important because they use power, which makes the battery last longer.
6) Things We Still Have To Figure Out. What We Should Keep An Eye On
We still do not know a lot of things about the pricing and the specifications even with the tips we have today, about the pricing and the specifications.
6.1 Charging speed and charging tech
A big battery, like the 10,000mAh battery is only really useful if the charging of the 10,000mAh battery is good.
If the phone charges really fast like sixty six watts or eighty watts then it is like a dream come true. The phone becomes something where you can just buy it. Then you do not have to think about charging it all the time. The phone, with charging, like sixty six watts or eighty watts is a great thing to have because you can buy the phone and forget about charging it.
If the phone is charging slowly like at 18W or 25W the battery will probably still last a long time. However it will take a long time to fill up the battery, which is not great, for a lot of people who use their phone a lot.
Right now, there’s no confirmed charging figure for X80 in this specific pricing/spec leak.
6.2 Cameras
They did not give us any information about the camera specifications, in this leak. The camera specs are still a mystery.

Honor might keep things like the X70s single 50MP rear camera that was mentioned in the report.. They might change the camera setup but that is unknown, for now. Honor could go either way with the X70s camera. We will have to wait and see what they decide to do with the X70s camera setup.
6.3 Software, durability, and build
Also not mentioned:
Android version / MagicOS version
IP rating
speaker quality
storage type (UFS?), RAM type, expansion support
exact dimensions and weight
When you are looking for a phone that has a big battery you will probably care about how heavy it is and how thick it is. These things will be very important to you when the phone is officially released and you can see the specifications of the phone. The weight and thickness of the phone will matter a lot to people who want a phone, with a battery.
7) Who the Honor X80 could be for (if the leak is accurate)
If the main rumor, about the X80 is true which is that it has a budget price and a big 10,000mAh battery then the X80 seems like it was made for people who use phones.
7.1 Heavy everyday users
If you use
5G a lot
long video calls
social media + YouTube binge
navigation and delivery apps
The battery is a problem. This phone could be made to fix the battery problem. The battery becomes the issue that you have to deal with. This phone could be built to make the battery problem go away.
7.2 Students and budget buyers
When you spend around one thousand Chinese yuan it is a deal. The idea is simple: you buy something once you do not have to pay a lot to charge it. You can keep it for a long time. This is really appealing to people who do not want to spend a lot of money on the Chinese yuan budget. The budget segment of the yuan really likes this because you buy the product once and you can use it for years with less cost to charge it that is why the Chinese yuan budget segment likes to buy once charge less and keep it for years.
7.3 Travelers, field workers, and rural users
People who do not have the ability to charge their phone often or who have power that’s not reliable really benefit from phones that have ultra endurance. These ultra endurance phones are very helpful, to these people.
7.4 Some people do not care about -thin phones. They just want a phone that works well. The ultra-thin phone is not a deal to them. They are happy with -thin phones or not it does not matter to these people. Ultra-thin phones are phones, to them.
So you want something that feels really nice and slim right? That might not be the choice for you. On the hand if you want something that will last you a long time and be really practical you will probably really love it. The thing is, it is all, about what you want from the premium feel and the practical endurance of the product. If you want a slim premium feel you might hate it.. If you want practical endurance you might love the product because of its practical endurance.
8) What could really happen when the thing is launched an idea of what might go down
Leaks like this usually get the main idea right, such as the battery and the rough price. However they can be a bit vague when it comes to the details like the model of the Snapdragon and the display refresh rate and charging. Leaks like this are often correct about the things, like the battery and the price but they do not always have the specifics, such, as the exact Snapdragon model, right.
Here is what I would look for in announcements:
I want to know if the price of around 1,000 Chinese Yuan is for a version of the CNY, with less memory and storage space.
I want to know if Honor has versions of their product. For example do they have versions with storage options? Maybe they have an expensive model, with extra features. Does Honor offer these kinds of options for their product?
What is the charging wattage of the charger. Does the charger support modern fast charge standards well? The charger and its charging wattage are important, to me. I want to know if the charger can charge my device quickly with the fast charge standards.
The phone is not very heavy or thick. Honor did a job of keeping the phone size manageable. I think the Honor phone is a size, for a phone. The weight of the Honor phone is just right it is not too heavy to carry around.
Does the phone keep the cameras simple. Does it add a second camera that is good enough to make it appealing to more people? The phone has to balance keeping the cameras modest and focused on what’s important or adding a dual camera that is good enough.
9) Bottom line
The Honor X80 is looking like it is going to be a phone that people can buy without spending a lot of money and it will also have a very long battery life. The Honor X80 is really starting to look like a budget phone that can last a long time which is what the Honor X80 is all, about.
The price I paid was one thousand Chinese Yuan. This is thirteen thousand Indian Rupees if you do a direct conversion.
Battery (tipped): 10,000mAh
The display is really nice it is a 6.81-inch LTPS display. The resolution of the display is 1.5K, which’s very clear. The display is also tipped, which means it is tilted at an angle.
They are talking about the Chipset in this thing. The Chipset is supposed to be a Snapdragon 7-series. This is a power kind of Chipset. The exact model of the Chipset is not known.
If Honor nails charging speed and keeps weight reasonable, it could become one of the most practical “battery king” phones in its class. Until launch, though, treat everything as rumor—especially the chipset model, charging, and camera setup.
