Motorola Signature Box Price in India, Launch Date Leaked Ahead of Arrival: Expected Specifications

Motorola is really good at making -range and upper-mid-range Android phones in India. They have designs and simple software. The prices are also very good. When it comes to expensive phones Motorola has been focusing on foldable phones. Their regular phones are not as expensive as the best phones out there. Motorola phones are great for people who want a phone without spending too much money on a super fancy one. Motorola is doing a job with their mid-range and upper-mid-range Android phones, in India.

The Motorola Signature is important because it is being seen as a top of the line phone. The latest information that has come out suggests that Motorola is not trying to make the Motorola Signature a lot cheaper than phones, in this category. It seems like Motorola wants the Motorola Signature to be able to compete with high end Android phones. When it comes to these types of phones the price and the brand name are just as important as how the camera works and how often the phone gets updates. The Motorola Signature needs to be able to compete with premium Android phones in all of these areas.

The reason we see “Signature Box Price” in the news is because people are talking about the price on the box that the product comes in. This is the price that the company says is the most that someone should pay for the product. In India this price is often more than what people pay when they buy the product online or during a special sale.. It still gives us a good idea about how much Motorola thinks the product is worth and what kind of customers they are trying to sell it to. Motorola is trying to figure out the price for their product and this price, on the box is a big clue.

2) When will the new thing come to India? We want to know the launch date, for India.

People are talking about the Motorola Signature. They think it is coming to India on January 23 2026. Motorola Signature is going to be launched in India on this day that is what many reports and tips are saying about the Motorola Signature.

This is really something because people were talking about Motorola having a launch in India on January 7.. Then some new information came out and it seemed like the India launch, for Motorola would actually happen later in the month not on January 7 like people thought before.

The thing that people are saying over and again is:

Expected India launch date: January 23, 2026

Motorola has already given us a hint about the phone on a page, on Flipkart. This makes me think that they will announce it soon. It also seems like Flipkart will be one of the places where we can buy the phone. Motorola is going to sell the phone. Flipkart will help them do that.

3) What is the leaked price of the box, in India: what is the number that people are talking about when it comes to the box price?

The biggest headline-grabber is the leaked box MRP:

Leaked box price (MRP): ₹84,999

Said to be for the top variant: 16GB RAM + 1TB storage

This number is important for two reasons:

This thing says it is a high level product it signals a premium tier, which means the quality is very good. It signals a premium tier that people will pay more money for.

The price of ₹85K is really high. It is like the expensive phones, not the kind of expensive phones that people can actually buy. Anything that costs around ₹85K is clearly in the group, as the really expensive phones, not the group of expensive phones that are supposed to be affordable.

MRP ≠ launch selling price

In India companies often say a price, for things but they actually sell them for a lower price by doing a few things like:

bank offers,

exchange bonuses,

launch coupons,

bundled deals,

limited-time “introductory pricing.”

Some people say that the price you pay in a store might be less than the price that is written on the product. This is what several reports are saying, that the retail price could be lower, than the Maximum Retail Price that is printed on it.

My idea of what prices should be is based on how they normally set the price that is marked on a product.

If the price of the Motorola phone is eighty four thousand nine hundred ninety nine rupees for the TB model Motorola may try to start selling it for a price that is close to that. The price of the Motorola phone for the TB model is a key thing to consider. Motorola will probably think about the price of the Motorola phone. Try to set a launch price that is, near eighty four thousand nine hundred ninety nine rupees.

₹79,999–₹82,999 for that top variant during launch offers, and then

The price of the thing could go up after the special launch deals are over. The launch deals will not last forever. The price of the thing could drift upward once these launch deals end.

So Motorola might do something that surprises people. They might keep the price of the Motorola Signature close, to what it should be if they do not have a lot of them or if they think the Motorola Signature is a product.

4) Confirmed/teased India availability: Flipkart and branding signals

The Motorola Signature is coming to India. It will be available on Flipkart. Flipkart even has a page, for the Motorola Signature so we know it is going to be sold on this website. The Motorola Signature is going to be sold in India through Flipkart.

The teasing also shows that Motorola is working with Pantone again like they have before. This means the Signature phone will really focus on how it looks and the colors they use. This is what companies usually say when they want to make their phone sound really fancy and expensive. Motorola wants the Signature phone to stand out with its design and colors which’s what they do with their high end phones like the premium phones.

People keep talking about two color options, from Pantone that’re really popular. These Pantone color options are mentioned over and over again.

5) What to expect from the specifications: the leaks and official information are giving us an idea of what’s coming. The specifications are something that a lot of people are looking forward to. Based on the leaks and official material we can get a sense of what the specifications will be, like. The specifications that are expected are pretty interesting. People are talking about the specifications that have been leaked and the ones that have been officially announced.

Now we get to the part: the expected specifications. The expected specifications are what we really want to know about. The expected specifications will tell us a lot, about what we’re getting.

A) Display: high refresh + very high brightness

The global launch coverage and the reports all say that the display, on this thing looks really great it looks like something you would see on a high end phone the display looks like it is flagship grade.

6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED

The resolution is about 1.5K or what people call Super HD. Some reports say it is pixels. The Super HD resolution gives you a good picture.

Up to 165Hz refresh rate

The peak brightness is really high. It can go up to 6,200 nits. This is what was said in one report, about the brightness of this thing the peak brightness figure.

So what does this really mean when we use it every day:

LTPO is really useful because it helps with refresh scaling, which is very helpful for the battery of a device, like a phone or a computer the LTPO technology is what makes this smarter refresh scaling possible so it is good for the LTPO to be enabled because it helps to save battery life.

I think that having a 165Hz screen is really only necessary for people who want everything to look super smooth when they are scrolling or playing games. Most people are fine with 120Hz it is already pretty good.. I guess 165Hz is a good thing to put on a computer when you are trying to sell it because it makes the computer seem really powerful and it makes everything on the screen feel really fluid and nice. 165Hz is great, for people who want a smooth experience.

Peak brightness numbers can be a bit confusing. This is because they are often measured in conditions. So they show that the phone should work really well outside. The phone should be very easy to use when you are outdoors.

B) Processor: Snapdragon flagship silicon

People are talking about the Motorola Signature. It seems that the Motorola Signature is powered by:

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is something that people talk about a lot. They always say it is made using a 3nm process. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a deal because of this 3nm thing. People keep mentioning the 3nm process when they write about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

This places it clearly in the top-tier Android performance class for 2026 flagships.

C) RAM and storage: they are going to make a version, with the RAM and storage you can get

The leak that caused the news, about prices specifically talks about:

16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant (the one linked to ₹84,999 MRP)

Other coverage, like the listings from around the world says that there might be versions of this thing available too. For example some places have a version, with 12GB and 512GB.

Why this matters:

Sixteen gigabytes of RAM is more than what most people need to use their computer every day. It is really helpful when you have a lot of things open at the same time or when you are doing creative work like editing pictures or videos and it also helps with the artificial intelligence features that are, on your device.

1TB is for power users: lots of 4K video recording, offline content, large games, huge photo libraries.

D) Cameras: triple 50MP setup + periscope zoom (and a big Sony sensor mention)

The camera is really important when it comes to high end phones and Motorola appears to be taking a bold approach with the camera on their phones. Motorola is trying to make a statement with the camera, on their Motorola phones.

The back of the car is supposed to have these things:

50MP main camera (with Sony LYT-828 mentioned in India teasers/coverage)

50MP ultrawide

50MP periscope telephoto (with optical zoom claims—some mention around 3.5x)

The selfie camera is also said to be really good in some of the specifications that are listed. It is even called end in some places. For example one place says it has 50 megapixels. The selfie camera is mentioned as a high-end feature, in these specifications.

What to watch for at launch:

Sensor size + stabilization details for the main camera (big difference in low light).

The thing that matters is whether the periscope is set up for taking pictures of people or if it is good, for taking pictures of things that’re really far away or if it can do both of these things.

The video features of this thing are really cool. It has 4K HDR and stabilization modes. It also has Dolby Vision and HDR formats. There are some hints that it might have premium video support, in some parts of the world. We will know for sure what video features it has when it launches in India. The video features of this thing are going to be very interesting to see.

E) Battery and charging: silicon-carbon and fast charging

The battery capacity is being reported. It tells us about the battery capacity. The report is showing the battery capacity.

The battery has, around 5,200mAh. It is a silicon-carbon battery.

Charging:

The phone has a cool feature which is 90W wired fast charging. This means the 90W wired fast charging will charge your phone quickly. I like the 90W wired charging because it saves me a lot of time. The 90W wired charging is very useful when I am, in a hurry and I need to use my phone.

50W wireless fast charging

Why silicon-carbon is interesting:

This thing can possibly give us energy, than the old lithium-ion designs. It can do one of two things:

more battery in the same size, or

similar battery with slimmer design.

The company is really going for a look with the Signature marketing. In India people are talking about how it’s only around 6.99mm thick and it weighs about 186g. The Signature marketing is, about being slim and that is a big part of it.

F) Build and durability: it is made with good materials and it can withstand certain things the ratings, for this are also provided

To get a position you really need to make sure that the things that make something last are taken care of. This means that durability boxes need to be checked for premium positioning. When we talk about premium positioning it is important that we check these durability boxes.

They are talking about using a frame made of aluminium. The use of an aluminium frame is something that people are mentioning. Aluminium frame is what they are thinking of using.

The phone might have Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It could be water resistant with IP68 or IP69 ratings. You should check the details for India when it is launched. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is a thing to have on a phone. Also the IP ratings, like IP68 or IP69 are important to know.

G) Software: Android 16 + Moto’s UI and long-term updates angle

Some people say that this thing comes with:

When I see Android 16 the Hello UI branding always shows up in the coverage of Android 16. Android 16 is really something that catches my eye with the Hello UI branding, in the coverage of Android 16.

A big advantage that sets them apart is the update policy. There is a report that says Motorola is going to give seven years of operating system and security updates for the Signature. If this is true for the phones they sell in India it is a big deal for expensive phones, like the Signature. The update policy is a thing that will make the Signature stand out.

Why this matters:

When people spend seventy thousand to ninety thousand rupees they really want their things to last as long as the very best products do. The price of seventy thousand to ninety thousand rupees is a lot so buyers expect the best they expect these things to work for a long time just like the most expensive products. At this price buyers want the longevity of a flagship product they want it to be the best.

Getting updates is a good thing, for your phone. It helps keep the value of the phone from going down much. This means the phone is a buy because it will be safe to use for a long time. Long updates make the phone safer to own over time.

H) AI and “premium experience” extras

Motorola and Lenovo have talked about how good the artificial intelligence’s, on their platform. They also say that people will have a nice experience when they use it. The main idea they want to get across is that the platform is quality and the artificial intelligence makes it special. Motorola and Lenovo are trying to show that the platform is something and that the artificial intelligence performance is a big part of that.

In practical terms, expect:

on-device AI photo features,

smarter voice/text tools,

productivity boosts (summaries, rewriting, call features),

and possibly more “Moto AI” branding around everyday actions.

When Motorola announces the details at the India launch we will be able to see the Motorola features clearly. It will be easier to understand which Motorola features work on the cloud and which Motorola features work, on the device.

6) So… is ₹84,999 “too high”? How to interpret the leak as a buyer

If you are a buyer trying to figure out if you should wait for this phone here is a way to look at the situation. This phone is something you are thinking about. You want to make a good decision, about it. You need to think about this phone and what it can do for you.

What the leak really shows us is that there is something going on. The leak strongly suggests that something is not quite right. When we look at what the leak suggests it is pretty clear that people should pay attention to the leak. The leak strongly suggests some things that we did not know before.

The Motorola Signature is not trying to be a great phone that beats all the other top phones. The Motorola Signature is what it is it does not want to be known as the Motorola Signature that kills the flagship phones from other companies, like the Motorola Signature.

This thing is really trying to be a flagship, with:

flagship chip,

premium display,

periscope zoom,

fast wired + wireless charging,

premium design language,

and (possibly) a long update commitment.

There are still some things that could change. What could still change is pretty important to think about. The thing that could still change is something we need to consider. We have to think about what could change and how it will affect us.

Until the official launch on January 23, 2026 (if the leak is correct), these are still uncertain:

final India variants (maybe 12/512, 16/512, 16/1TB, etc.),

final India pricing (MRP vs effective launch price),

availability and launch offers,

and whether every global feature is present in the India model.

7) Who is this phone for?

You should think about the Motorola Signature if:

You are looking for an end Android phone that is really good but you do not want to buy from the same companies that most people buy from like the big brands that everyone knows. You want something from the usual Android phones that people purchase a premium Android flagship, from a company that is not as well known as the top two or three brands.

I really want a screen that looks super smooth is very bright and has a LTPO panel. The LTPO panel is important, to me because it is modern. I care about the display being smooth and having brightness and a modern LTPO panel.

I want a phone that has a zoom capability like a periscope lens. I do not want it to be a foldable phone. I like the idea of having a zoom on my camera like the periscope lens without having to get a foldable phone. The periscope lens is really important, to me because I like to take pictures of things that’re far away.

I really like it when I can charge my phone quickly. I also like wireless charging. Fast charging and wireless charging are both things that I think are very useful. I want to be able to use charging and wireless charging together on my phone.

You hold onto your phones for a time and you want the company to promise that they will keep updating your phone for a long time but only if they say they will do this for people, in India.

You can just skip it if:

You want to get the deal and pay the lowest price for the Snapdragon flagship chip. The Snapdragon flagship chip is really important to you. You do not want to spend a lot of money on it. You are looking for the option, for the Snapdragon flagship chip.

You do not need one terabyte of storage or expensive design materials. The thing is, one terabyte of storage is too much, for most people.. Those ultra-premium design materials they are not necessary either. You can get a product without them.

One terabyte of storage is a lot of space.. The ultra-premium design materials are very fancy.. You can still get a great product without these things.

I like brands that have been around, for a time and have a good track record of making really great cameras, especially the ultra flagship ones. This is because I want to see how well the Signature camera does in reviews and then I can decide if I prefer that brand or not. I think it is an idea to look at the history of a brand and how well they have done with their ultra flagship cameras in the past.

8) What to watch on launch day (January 23, 2026 — if accurate)

When Motorola officially launches the Motorola in India look for these details that will make or break the Motorola.

Actual selling price vs MRP

I want to know if the 16/1TB version is really going to cost ₹84,999 when it comes out.. Will it be cheaper if I get it with some kind of offer?

India variant lineup

Is there a more affordable base model? If yes, that could be the sweet spot.

Update policy written clearly for India

The language that says “up to” really matters. We need to confirm the years and what the Facebook deal actually includes. The “up to” language is important because it affects what is included in the Facebook deal. We have to know what the Facebook deal is, about and what years it covers.

Camera claims backed by samples

The quality of the zoom on a Periscope can be really different from one brand, to another. Some Periscope brands have a zoom that’s very good while others are not so great. The Periscope zoom quality can vary a lot.

Warranty/after-sales extras

Premium phones sometimes have these things:

* screens

* Lots of storage

* Good cameras

Premium phones are really nice. They have other cool features too. Premium phones are what people like to buy when they want a phone.

accidental damage add-ons,

screen replacement plans,

service priority.

9) Quick recap (everything important in one place)

Availability: teased on Flipkart microsite

This phone has a battery that can hold a lot of power it is 5,200mAh. The battery of the phone can be charged fast it supports 90W wired and also 50W wireless charging. The 5,200mAh battery is really good. The 90W wired and 50W wireless charging is very convenient.

The phone has 50MP rear cameras and it also has periscope zoom. The Sony LYT-828 is mentioned as part of this. The 50MP rear cameras are a great feature. The periscope zoom, on the 50MP rear cameras is really good. The Sony LYT-828 is something that people are talking about with the 50MP rear cameras.

Pantone colors: Martini Olive, Carbon.
