Samsung Galaxy S26+ Bags 3C Certification; Might Not Launch With Charging Upgrade

On January 22 2026 a lot of websites started talking about a Samsung device that was listed on the China 3C website. People think this Samsung device is the Galaxy S26+. The model number of this Galaxy S26+ is supposed to be SM-S9470. This listing told us some things, about the Galaxy S26+. We found out about the battery life of the Galaxy S26+, how many cameras the Galaxy S26+. What kind of memory and storage the Galaxy S26+ will have. We also learned about the charging speed of the Galaxy S26+. People were really looking at one thing about the phones. The 3C listing, for the S26 lineup does not seem to have a way to charge the phones with a wire. This is not what a lot of Samsung fans were hoping for. It looks like Samsung might not make the charging go faster for the S26 models. They might only make the charging go faster for the model of the S26.. They might make special accessories that can charge the phones faster. The regular S26 models might still have the old charging speed. The S26 Ultra model might be the one that gets a faster charging speed. Below I will go through what the 3C listing shows. The 3C listing is something people look at to figure out what the 3C means. So what does 3C mean?

It is about how fast your phone can charge. I will explain how charging speeds are determined and limited in phones like the Samsung.

I think Samsung may be holding back on this. There are a lot of rumors and contradictory leaks about this.

I want to tell you where these rumors come from and what they mean for people who want to buy a phone.

I will also give you some advice you can use right now when it comes to the 3C listing and charging speeds of modern phones, like the Samsung.

1) What the 3C listing actually showed us were some facts about the 3C listing. The 3C listing had some details that were pretty interesting. So the 3C listing revealed some things that we did not know before. The main thing about the 3C listing is that it had some facts. These facts, from the 3C listing were useful to know.

The main thing people are talking about is the report from Gadgets360. This report talks about the Galaxy S26+ phone. It says the model number is SM-S9470. The report also gives us some details about the phones hardware.

It has a battery that is 4,900 mAh. The Galaxy S26+ also has three cameras on the back. These cameras are 50 MP, 12 MP and 10 MP. The front camera is 12 MP.

The Galaxy S26+ phone comes with 12 GB of RAM. You can choose to have 256 GB or 512 GB of storage space. The screen is really clear, with a resolution of 1440×3120. The Galaxy S26+ runs on Android 15. When we talk about charging, the thing that really matters is the speed at which the battery gets charged. The information we have says that the new model does not charge faster than the old one when you plug it in. This is important because some people thought that the Plus model would charge a lot faster when plugged in. It looks like that might not be the case. The charging speed of the model is not a big jump from the charging speed of the previous generation. This makes us think that the Plus model might not have an improvement in wired charging. The charging speed is still pretty similar, to what we had.

Other places that follow leaks and people who give tips are all saying that the basic S26 will probably still have 25W wired charging. The S26+ will likely have 45W charging, which’s the same, as the last model or it might be a little bit faster. But only the S26 Ultra might get an improvement. Some people think it could have 60W support though you might have to buy that part separately it will not come in the box with the S26 Ultra. That split is something we have seen before. It is a charging spec for the base and the Plus and a bigger number is reserved for the Ultra. We have seen this split across multiple reports, about the base and the Ultra and the Plus.

2) So what is this thing called 3C. Why should we even bother about 3C?

3C is China Compulsory Certification. This is a process that the Chinese government uses to regulate things. For things like smartphones and chargers the 3C database can be really useful. It often shows us the model numbers of these devices. We can also see which chargers or adapters work with them.

When a new phone shows up on the 3C website with a charger or adapter it gives us a pretty good idea of what it can do. Specifically it tells us how fast the phone can charge when you plug it in. The 3C listing is like a hint, about what the China Compulsory Certification thinks the phone is capable of. People who really like technology and the tech press always check out websites like 3C, TENAA and FCC. These websites are run by the government. They often have information about new products before they are officially announced. The reason people look at these websites is that they usually have the specifications of the products before they are launched.. There are two things to keep in mind when looking at the information, on these websites:

When you see a 3C entry it tells you what a phone can handle when it comes to charging. This means it shows the charging rate that the phone can accept. However this does not mean that Samsung will definitely include a charger, in the box when you buy the phone. A lot of phone makers are now selling phones without a charger.

The thing about certification is that it is different in places. Some models of things are different in markets. This can be because of the choices for the brain of the device or the way it charges or even the power adapter that comes with it. So just because something is certified in China with a 3C entry it does not mean that the packaging will be the same else in the world. The certification for 3C may not reflect what the packaging is like globally, for Chinese 3C.

3) The apparent charging picture for S26 series (summary of leaks)

Putting together the recent leaks and filings:

The Galaxy S26, which is the base model is likely to have the wired charging speed as the Galaxy S25 base model, which is 25W. This is what people are saying and it is a bit of a letdown, for people who were hoping it would be faster. A lot of people have been talking about this and saying it is true so it seems like it might actually happen with the Galaxy S26.

The Galaxy S26+ has a battery. It is 4,900 mAh. Some people think it will charge at the speed as the old one. The old Galaxy S26+ charged at 45W. Some people thought the new one would charge faster like 65W. But it does not look like that will happen. The Galaxy S26+ might not get any charging upgrades. That is the thing people are talking about. The Galaxy S26+ battery is still really big though.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the one that people think will get an improvement when it comes to charging with a wire. Some people are saying that it might be able to charge at 60W, which’s really fast. This is because some documents have been filed that suggest this is being tested and has even been approved. However some people are also saying that even though the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be able to charge fast the fast charger will not come in the box. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will still be able to charge at the speed but you will have to buy the fast charger separately. This is what some companies have done in the past they make their devices able to charge but they do not give you the special charger that you need to do it. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is still going to be a device but you might have to spend a little extra money to get the fast charger, for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

So the pattern is that Samsung might be focusing on making the Ultra charge really fast with a wire. This could mean that the regular and Plus models will have charging when they come out. At the time Samsung is working on making wireless charging better. For example they are looking at using solutions, like Qi2. The Verge found out that Samsung is also working on accessories and Qi2 technology. Samsung is really trying to make Qi2 a big part of their ecosystem.

4) Why did Samsung decide not to make the charging speeds of the Samsung S26+ faster? I mean what is the reason that Samsung did not make the Samsung S26+ charge quickly? The Samsung S26+ is a phone and people, like it when their phone can charge fast. So why did Samsung not focus on making the charging speeds of the Samsung S26+ better?

There are a lot of reasons why Samsung might not make the Plus model charge really fast. These reasons have to do with technology and business and money. Samsung has to think about these things when they decide what to do with the Plus model.

Some of these reasons are related to the technology that Samsung uses. Other reasons are about the business side of things and how money Samsung will make. Samsung has to consider all of these things when they make decisions about the Plus model.

The main thing is that Samsung has to be careful, about how they make the Plus model. They have to think about a lot of factors including technology and money when they decide what to do with the Samsung Plus model.

a) Thermal and battery longevity trade-offs

Charging speed is not just something companies say to sell you something. It is a problem that involves heat and the way batteries work. When you charge your battery faster it can hurt the battery cells. Make them get really hot. The people who make these devices have to make sure that they do not charge fast or the battery will not last as long and it will get too hot. If the device gets too hot when it is charging it can start to work slowly the battery will get weaker faster or the software will have to be set to work more safely. Samsung is trying out kinds of batteries like ones that use silicon to help the battery work better. They might want to make improvements to how fast the battery charges so the battery lasts a long time and does not get damaged just to make it charge really fast. Samsung wants to make sure that their batteries are good and last a long time so they are being careful, with the charging speed of the Samsung devices. Making something that works well and does not get too hot when you use it for a time like a 65W thing is really hard. This is because it has to work in different situations, such as hot or cold weather with different phone companies and, with chargers that other people make. It costs a lot of money. Takes a long time to make sure it works properly. So it is better to be safe and not take many risks when designing a 65W experience.

b) Cost and product segmentation

Samsung has always used a way of separating their products to make the Ultra models stand out with the features. This is because they want people to think that the Ultra is worth the money. If the Ultra has the charging it makes sense that it costs more. This also stops people from buying the models instead of the Ultra.

To make charging faster you need materials to stop things from getting too hot and you need higher quality parts to control the power. You also need to make sure the chargers work properly. All of this costs money. So by not giving the Plus model the charging Samsung can keep their prices lower and make the Ultra seem like a really special phone. The Ultra models are what Samsung uses to show off their features. People are saying that the Ultra can handle 60W of power. The Plus model is limited to 45W or 25W of power. This makes sense when you look at the Ultra and the Plus. How they work with power. The Ultra and the Plus have power needs and that is why the Ultra can use 60W of power but the Plus model can only use 45W or 25W of power.

c) Regulatory and real-world packaging trends

A lot of companies that make phones do not put a power brick in the box when you buy a phone. They do this for a couple of reasons. One reason is to help the environment and the other reason is to save money. When a company does not include a charger with the phone they can say that the phone supports a lot of power like up to X watts.. They do not have to include the special power brick that can give the phone that much power. Sometimes you will see that a phone is certified by a group like the 3C to be able to handle a lot of power.. That does not mean that the company will include a fast charger, with the phone. Just because a phone is certified to use a lot of power does not mean that it comes with a charger. The phone companies are just saying that the phone can handle a charger but you might have to buy the charger separately. The phone supports charging, but the fast charger is not part of what you get when you buy the phone. This is important because it affects how people really feel when they are charging their devices. The charging speeds of these devices matter to the users.

d) Supply chain & ramp timing

People who got a look at the schedules for making Samsungs S26 Plus think that it was made later, than the S26 models. Samsung probably changed what products they were making and how many they were making. If the people making the new part that helps with charging or the part that keeps the phone cool had problems Samsung might have decided to use the old way of charging for the Plus. This way they could keep making the phones on time. Some people have noticed that Samsung changed what products they are making and that it is taking longer to make some parts of the S26 family. Samsungs S26 Plus is still affected by these changes. The S26 Plus had some issues with its production schedule.

5) What is the deal with the rumors that the Ultra is going to get sixty watts? Is that actually true, about the Ultra?

The Samsung S26 Ultra has been mentioned in a lot of leak reports. These reports say that the S26 Ultra is certified for charging. People are talking about numbers like 60W. There are some posts on media from people who work in the industry. They have seen the S26 Ultra with a 60W charger. There are also some filings that say the same thing.. It is not clear if the 60W charger will come with the S26 Ultra. Samsung is usually careful, with how fast their phones can charge. The S-series phones have been limited to 45W for a time. Samsung only increases the charging speed a bit at a time. The S26 Ultra is a case because it might get a faster charger. The S26 Ultra and its charging speed are still being talked about. So the Ultra might have a 60W certification. If that is true it means Samsung wants the Ultra to be as good as phones that have fast charging. These other phones have been able to charge quickly for a long time.. We need to remember that just because the Ultra has this certification it does not mean it will come with a fast charger when you buy it. The certification is one thing. What comes in the box is something else. Samsung wants to keep the competitive against other phones like it. The Ultra is a phone and Samsung wants it to be able to charge as fast, as other great phones.

6) Charging numbers versus real world experience. What is more important to people when they are talking about charging numbers and the experience they have, in the world. The charging numbers are just that, numbers, but the real world experience of charging is what people have to live with every day when they are using their devices. What matters more the charging numbers or the real world experience of charging?

A few thoughts on why a headline watt number (e.g., 25W vs 45W vs 60W) isn’t the whole story:

The charge curve is something that manufacturers pay a lot of attention to. They want the battery to charge fast at first so it gets to 30 to 70 percent pretty quickly. Then it slows down to keep the battery cells healthy.

A phone that says it has a 60W peak can actually be just as good, as a 45W solution that is well tuned. This is true when you are charging your phone from zero to 80 percent, which’s what most people do every day with their charge curve. The charge curve of a phone is important to consider when looking at the charge curve.

Thermal throttling is a problem. When it is really hot outside or when the phone is in a case the phones 60W capability does not really work well. This means that the actual benefits of having a 60W capability are reduced. The phones 60W capability is not as useful, in these situations because thermal throttling reduces what the phone can really do.

Charger and cable: To really get speeds you need a charger and cable that work with the phones system. If Samsung does not put that charger in the box people have to buy one on their own.. The quality of chargers from other companies can be different. You have to get a charger and cable that’re compatible, with the phone to get the best results.

Battery capacity is really important. A bigger battery takes time to charge. For example a battery with 4,900 mAh will charge faster, than a battery with 5,500 mAh when they are getting the amount of power. This means that if we compare two batteries of sizes it is not easy to see which one is better. The battery capacity of a 4,900 mAh battery and a 5,500 mAh battery will affect how we compare them.

Wireless versus wired: The new things they are doing with wireless like Qi2 charging or more powerful wireless pads can change what people think is a good deal. Samsung and the people who make accessories are trying to make wireless charging better by using magnets, which’s easier to use and safer when it comes to heat even if the numbers for wired charging look really good on paper. Wireless is getting better and better. Companies, like Samsung are working on making wireless charging a great option.

So when we look at a headline that gives us a watt number that’s something we need to know but it is not enough to really understand what our daily experience will be like with the headline watt number. The headline watt number is important. It does not tell us the whole story about the daily experience, with the headline watt number.

7) Why some outlets and tipsters seem to contradict each other. This is something that I have noticed a lot. Some outlets and tipsters will say one thing. Then others will say the opposite. It is really confusing. The outlets and tipsters are supposed to be giving us information. When the outlets and tipsters contradict each other it is hard to know what to believe. I think the outlets and tipsters should try to be more consistent. Maybe the outlets and tipsters could work together to make sure they are all saying the thing. That way we can trust the information that the outlets and tipsters are giving us.

Conflicting reports are the norm before a launch. Reasons:

Regional variants are something that Samsung does a lot. They like to use parts like the brain of the phone, which is called the SoC and they also use different power settings and even chargers in different places. For example some areas get phones with Exynos. Some get phones with Snapdragon. This means that when Samsung files papers with the government in China, which is called a 3C filing it can be different from the papers they file with the FCC in the United States or with the EU, in Europe.

When it comes to the stages of certification for companies they often try out a lot of chargers and charge curves on their own. At first the paperwork might say that a device can handle profiles.. When it is actually made and ready to be sold it usually only works with one of these profiles. The companies do this testing to figure out what works best for the device and the charger. This is all part of the certification process, for the device and the charger.

Companies that make things, like OEMs or their partners sometimes tell people a bit about what is coming out. They do this on purpose to see how people will react or to get people ready, for what’s coming. They want to know if people will still buy something if it costs a lot of money. This is called testing the price elasticity of the product. Companies do this to control what people think about the product before it comes out. They are trying to make people excited about the product, which is the OEMs or their partners new thing.

When we talk about leaks we have to remember that not all of them are the same. Some people who give us information like insiders who have been before are more trustworthy, than things we see on social media.

The best way to figure out what is true is to look at what a lot of sources are saying.

In the case of the Plus and the Ultra several good sources are saying that the Plus has a charging profile while the Ultra charges faster. This makes sense. Gives us a clear idea of what to expect from the Plus and the Ultra.

8) The broader strategy: wireless focus, battery chemistry, and incremental upgrades

Two ecosystem trends matter here:

1. Wireless ecosystem (Qi2)

Samsung and other companies that make accessories are really interested in Qi2 which is the generation of wireless charging that uses magnets. The Verge has also written about this. Samsung seems to be getting ready to sell accessories like battery packs and magnetic stands that work with Qi2 and can charge devices at a speed of around 15 to 25 watts.

If Samsung is going to make its phones work better with wireless charging it might focus more on making wireless charging easier to use and more convenient for people and also try to sell more accessories. This could mean that Samsung will not make the wired charging, on all of its devices faster. Samsung wants to make Qi2 and magnetic wireless charging a part of its phones. This shifts the narrative from “wired speed war” to “platform and accessory handling.”

2. Battery chemistry and longevity

If Samsung comes out with battery technology like silicon-enhanced anodes in the S26 family they will probably make sure the charging is not too fast. This is to make sure the battery lasts a time and people do not make too many warranty claims.

People are already complaining about battery problems on the internet and social media. If Samsung is too aggressive with charging it can cause problems with their reputation years after the phone is released.

It is better for Samsung to make improvements that balance how fast the battery charges with how long it lasts. This way is safer, for Samsung. The S26 family will have battery life if Samsung does it this way.

9) What this means for buyers and what buyers can actually do with this information are some things that buyers should think about when they’re looking at the practical takeaways, for buyers.

If you are thinking about buying the Galaxy S26+ here is what you should think about when it comes to the Galaxy S26+:

Expect modest wired-charging performance on the Plus unless Samsung surprises at launch. Don’t assume a big jump from the previous generation. The 3C filing and multiple leaks point to this conservative outcome.

If you want your phone to charge fast you might want to think about the Ultra if what people are saying is true. You can also look at fast chargers that work with your phone as long as they are compatible. Just make sure to read what other people think about them. Sometimes these other chargers can charge your phone faster, than the one that comes with it but the quality and safety are not always the same.

When you think about how a battery lasts it is nice to be able to charge it quickly.. If the company that makes the phone does not take care of it this can make the battery get worse faster.

If you have a speed of charging and a bigger battery your battery will probably last longer from day, to day over two years. This is something to consider when you think about battery longevity.

Check what is in the box when it is launched. The regulatory certification does not mean that a high watt charger is included.

If the charger that comes with the phone is important, to you then you should wait for the list of things that come with the phone or the pre-order papers.

Samsung has done this before. It is likely that they will sell the fast charger separately even if the Samsung phone can use it.

Here is a list to think about before you buy something when it first comes out.

10) Things to consider when you are a buyer and you want to buy at launch.

You should make a buyer checklist before you buy at launch.

A quick buyer checklist is very important when you want to buy at launch.

So you need to have a buyer checklist before you buy at launch.

Confirm the official charging wattage from Samsung’s specs page after launch (not just leaks).

I need to check what is inside the box. Is there a charger, in the box? What is the rating of the charger that comes with the box? I want to know about the charger that is included with the box.

Read independent charging real-world tests (0→80% timings and heat measurements) from reputable reviewers.

So you want to use a charger that is not made by the phone company. You should make sure it works with your phones fast charging system like the PD or PPS system or the system that Samsung uses for fast charging. This is important for phones like the Samsung phone. You do not want to damage your phone by using the charger so check if the third-party charger is compatible, with the Samsung phones fast charging system or the phones PD or PPS system.

If you want to be able to use your devices without dealing with a lot of cords you should take a look at Qi2 accessories. This includes things, like battery packs. Stands that use magnets. You need to see how well these Qi2 accessories and the magnetic ecosystem really work when you are using them.

11) What to watch for at launch (dates and signals)

Watch these signals closely when Samsung announces the S26 series. I think it is an idea to pay attention to what Samsung says about the S26 series. The Samsung S26 series is something that a lot of people are waiting for. So when Samsung talks about the S26 series we should listen carefully to what they have to say about the Samsung S26 series.

If you go to the Samsung website you can find the spec sheet. The spec sheet on Samsung.com will tell you what the supported wired and wireless charging rates are for the phone. It will also say if a charger is included with the phone or not. You can check the Samsung spec sheet to see the details, about the charging rates and the charger.

We should look at the documents that companies have to give to places like the FCC, the European Union and TENAA. These documents, from areas might have pictures of different chargers that come with the product.

We need to see the teardown and the voltage and current tests from people who review things like the people at AnandTech and GSMArena and the reviewers, on YouTube. These tests will show us the charging curves and the temperatures of the devices when they are being charged.

There are some announcements about accessories from Samsung and other companies. These accessories are compatible chargers and magnetic battery packs. The Verge talked about what Samsung’s doing with its accessories. Samsung is making a lot of changes, to its accessories, including compatible chargers and magnetic battery packs. The Verge reported on this.

People are talking about what Samsung’s going to do. It seems like Samsung will have an event called Galaxy Unpacked. This will probably happen in February or March 2026. There are some rumors and people’re not really sure when it will be. The main thing they will talk about is the S26 family. We will know for sure what’s happening when Samsung has the official event, for Galaxy Unpacked and they tell us about the S26 family.

12) Frequently asked questions (short answers)

The question is, about the 3C listing and what it means for the S26+ phone. So does a 3C listing really mean the S26+ will not have faster charging? The 3C listing is what we are looking at to figure out if the S26+ has charging. The S26+ phone and its charging speed is what we want to know about. We need to understand what the 3C listing says about the S26+ charging.

A: No. The information we have is good evidence of what was sent to the Chinese regulators but it does not tell us everything. This device might actually be able to handle rates or maybe a different version of the charger will be available, in other places. When we see lots of leaks that are all saying the thing it makes us think that the information is probably true. The Chinese regulators got to see what the device can do. That is good to know but the device might be able to do more in other areas.

If the Ultra supports 60W will using the Ultra be safe? I am talking about the Ultra. I want to know if the Ultra is safe when it supports 60W.

A: Faster charging is okay if the people who make the phone, like Samsung design it to stay safe. They have to make sure the phone does not get too hot and that the battery is protected. Samsung has been getting better at charging phones safely over time. We will see how well they did this time when people review the phone and test it to make sure it works like it should.

You are thinking of buying something. You want to know if you should wait until reviewers test the charging to make sure it works properly. It is an idea to wait until reviewers test the charging of this product to see if there are any problems, with it. This way you can be sure that the product you are buying is going to work the way it is supposed to. The charging of the product is an important thing to consider when you are deciding whether or not to buy it. You do not want to buy something and find out that the charging does not work right. So it is probably an idea to wait until reviewers test the charging of this product before you buy it.

If the speed at which your device charges is really important to you then yes it is an idea to wait for tests done by other people to see how it actually works in the real world. These tests will show you things, like how hot your device gets and how long it takes to charge from zero to eighty percent. The tests done by people who review devices are a way to figure out if the charging speed claims made by the company that made the device are true or not.

13) Let me tell you something about how the companies that make our devices the Original Equipment Manufacturers or OEMs implement charging limits. The OEMs have to be careful with charging limits because they do not want our devices to get damaged. So the OEMs implement charging limits to help our devices last longer. The charging limits are important, for the OEMs because they want to make sure our devices are safe. The OEMs are always trying to find ways to implement charging limits so that our devices can charge safely.

So you want to know why Samsung is being careful. Let me tell you a bit about the technology, behind it:

The power delivery stack is what makes a phone work properly. This includes the phones power management thing, the kind of battery it has and the firmware that runs it. These things decide how power the phone can handle. When you plug the phone into a charger the charger talks to the phone using a language, like USB-PD. The phones power management thing then decides how power it wants to take from the charger. The. The phone work together to figure out the best way to charge the phone. The power delivery stack is really important because it helps the phone charge safely and quickly.

The cell configuration is really important. It is, about how the cellsre arranged in a pack. You can have a cell or you can stack multiple cells together. This changes how fast you can safely add energy to the pack. When the cells have internal resistance and a better way to get rid of heat you can add energy to the pack more quickly. This is because the cells can handle amounts of energy going into them. The cell configuration and how the cells are arranged in the pack really matter when it comes to adding energy to the pack.

The thermal headroom of a device is really important. It is the amount of heat that the device can handle. This is managed by graphite layers and vapor chambers that help to dissipate heat. The outer materials of the chassis also play a role in this process. All of these things together determine how power the device can handle when it is being charged. The Ultra models usually have cooling systems, which means they can handle more power and do not get as hot. This is because they have cooling hardware. The thermal headroom is what sets a limit, on how fast a device can charge.

Software limits are in place, for a reason. When the hardware is capable of handling a certain level the company that made it might put a limit on it in the software. They do this to make the hardware last longer or to make sure it meets standards. So even if something is certified to do something the software that comes with it might not let it do that thing to its potential. This is why you might see that something is certified to do a thing but when you actually use it the software does not let it do that thing as well as it could. The software that you get when you buy something might not unlock all of its capabilities.

So the main thing to know is that increasing the charging power is not just about using a more powerful charger. It actually involves changing the way the battery is designed how it handles heat doing a lot of tests and thinking about the risks to the warranty, over time. The battery design and thermals and testing all have to be considered when increasing the charging wattage because this is what affects the long-term warranty risk assessments of the battery and the charger.

14) Final assessment — how confident should you be in the “no charging upgrade for S26+” headline?

Looking at the pattern of things that Samsung has to tell the government and all the rumors coming from places and how Samsung usually groups its products, the most likely thing to happen as of January 22 2026 is:

I think Samsung will not make a change, to the charging speed on the basic S26 phone. It will probably still charge at 25W. I am pretty sure that Samsung will keep the wired charging speed on the S26 the same as it’s now which is 25W.

I think the S26+ will probably not have an improvement in wired charging compared to the previous model. It might still be, around 45W or something similar. This is what the 3C listing and other leaks are saying about the S26+.

I think the S26 Ultra might be able to handle wired speeds like 60W. This is not a sure thing but it is possible. If the S26 Ultra can do 60W the charger that can do this might not come with the phone. So it really depends on what Samsung decides to do with the packaging of the S26 Ultra. If they include the charger people will be able to use the faster speeds. The S26 Ultra could be a phone if it can really do 60W speeds.

These confidence levels are based on the information that’s out there for everyone to see, like what companies have to tell the government and the rumors that keep coming out. The thing is, the plans of the companies that make these products, known as equipment manufacturers or OEM can change before they are launched.

A 3C filing for the model SM-S9470 which’s the Galaxy S26+ has some information, about it. The Galaxy S26+ has a battery that is around 4,900 mAh. The filing also talks about some important specs of the Galaxy S26+. However it does not say that the Galaxy S26+ will have a lot of improvement in charging.

So the S26, which is the base model is probably going to stay at 25W. The Plus version will likely stay around 45W it will not change much. The Ultra is the one that might get a boost to 60W but it is not clear if this will be included with the phone or if you have to buy it separately. The Ultra is the likely to get this 60W capability.

Reasons include thermal management, battery longevity, product segmentation, supply timing, and Samsung’s shift toward wireless/magnetic charging accessories.
